The flat-bottom steel silo is a prefabricated, galvanized corrugated steel structure installed on a concrete platform, featuring a flat base. With individual capacities ranging from 39 m³ to nearly 30,000 m³, it is suitable for the long-term, large-scale storage of granular materials such as corn and wheat. The silo features smooth wall panels and is equipped with a sweep auger at the bottom; it can also be integrated with temperature monitoring, level sensing, ventilation, and automated control systems to facilitate mechanized discharge and management. Characterized by a lightweight design, a short construction period, and a service life of 25–30 years, this type of silo is widely used by grain depots, ports, and processing enterprises, where silos can be flexibly arranged in groups to enable rapid grain storage, retrieval, and transport.
